There are no accolades that I can give which haven’t already been uttered on this brother’s behalf… The Guinness World Record he received for being continually on the air for 65 years [in 2009] is a testament to his genius. He lasted on the air for so long because he loved what he did and the recipients of that love gave it right back.

Regular Psychological Evaluation of Police Officers

To lose a life under these circumstances is untenable, and to have the shooters let off of the hook repeatedly is uncivilized. It’s important to all people of color. It’s also important to the general society who allows people to continue in this barbaric manner. It redefines the meaning of civil society.

Thanksgiving is so much more than a single day. In its purest state, it’s gratitude for being able to get out of bed without help, think and speak in a complete, rational sentence, breathe without the assistance of artificial devices, and comprehend the depth and breadth of God’s love in our individual and collective lives.  Why on earth would any of that be reserved for only once a year?
